United States — General Motors and LG are planning to build another $2.3 billion EV-battery plant assembly in Tennessee for electric vehicles.
The new plant is key towards GM's goal of emissions-free vehicles and all-electric cars by 2035.
The two companies already have another EV battery plant under construction in Lordstown, Ohio, which was announced in 2019 and is set to open next year.
The new Tennessee plant is expected to open in late 2023 and employ 1,300 workers, said GM CEO Mary Barra... cnn.com
