The lantern incorporates a built-in 1200mAh rechargeable battery and a mini solar panel set for charging the lamp up to 8 hours for full charge. And up to 8hrs of discharging depending on the lighting modes. Alternatively, a one-minute hand cranking can generate power for up to 10 minutes of usage, according to the manufacturer.
It is also claimed that the lantern can be used to charge a mobile phone in emergency situations. It comes with a USB extension cable for this purpose. However, it's important to note that if the phone doesn't respond when plugged into the charging cable, it could be due to insufficient power supply voltage. The manufacturer suggests that shaking the lantern by hand a few times may solve this issue.
